OUR MISSION + OUR ASK
WHAT is PULP all about?
We will be offering short and long-term classes, specialized workshops, lectures, and weekday OPEN STUDIO hours. Future plans include: hosting markets, exhibiting gallery shows, and organizing local art festivals.
Together we want to create an affordable COMMUNITY space for people to gather, create, and explore their inner-artist.
We have the equipment, we have the people, we have the dream, we just need the space to do it.
While we search for our future home we will be making all the plans, sourcing all the supplies, and spreading the word.
KEEP IN TOUCH.

FAQ
WANT TO KNOW MORE?
Printmaking classes of course!
To start we will be teaching classes about screenprinting, linocut, woodblock, and monoprint. Don't know what some of those are? Guess you'll have to take a class to find out!
Alongside our core classes there will be intermittent workshops that could focus on collaging, painting (watercolor, oil, gouache, acrylic), plein air, digital art, photography, and filmmaking.
To top it off we will have weekly life model or still life drawing sessions which won't require any tuition or class signup, just an RSVP.
In the future we hope to add risograph, etching, letterpress, and ceramics/sculpture to fully round out our community art center. Giving people in all mediums a space to make their art.
So glad you asked!
Our classes and workshops will be open to anyone that pays the tuition, but in order to gain access to our OPEN STUDIO times, free life drawing sessions, and art storage you will need a membership. Think of it as a...YMCA for the arts?
Your monthly membership will gain you access to all of your 'apprentice' skillsets (techniques you have taken at least one class in), discounts on classes and workshops, discounts on art supplies, access to our co-working space, and a vote.
While our CO/OP is worker-owned, we want everyone that joins us in our mission to have a say in how we grow it.
We'll handle the daily operations, and make sure this place can stay open, but we need your to help guide us as to what you feel is important in the long run.

We'll be posting updates, lessons, and process videos while we work to get our space ready.
